WHAT’S IN THE GUIDE?

Risk Reduction Rules

Investing, like any profession, is a skill that can be learnt. Yet many property investment books and ‘advisors’ make it seem confusing. Why? Because most of the people who produce this stuff aren’t successful investors.

Successful investors know there’s not one rule. Instead, there are rules you must learn for many areas. These rules reduce risk. The areas include:

  • Exit strategies.
  • Assets and liabilities.
  • Leverage and other people’s money (OPM).
  • Banking and finance.
  • Tax.
  • Property cycles and developer activity.
  • Cash flow and growth strategies.
  • Property types.
  • Contracts.
  • Investment identification.
  • Portfolio management.
  • Duplication.

Note the order in which I’ve listed these areas. It’s important. This guide covers the first four. I detail others in my book: My four-year-old the property investor.
